Porsche Annapolis supports the Junior League's 2009 community projects

Porsche Annapolis was a sponsor of the 2009 Chefs by the Bay charity auction and gala, which is one of Annapolis' most honored annual fundraising events. Funds raised by the March 29, 2009, event benefit the Annapolis chapter of the Junior League, a non-profit women's organization that supports community projects across the nation.

The Junior League of Annapolis has actively supported projects benefitting children in the community for years. Some of their projects include It's Elementary!, a program that combines Kids in the Kitchen and Bookbags (supplying 1,000 Anne Arundel County students with bookbags and schools supplies); Children's Literacy, which focuses on increasing reading scores of school-age children; and Friends of Foster Care, among other projects.

Porsche Annapolis and its parent company, Johnson Automotive (Raleigh, N.C.), recognize the importance of supporting the communities that support them and are looking forward to building a lasting relationship with organizations like the Junior League that support Annapolis, Anne Arundel County and the Chesapeake region.

Chefs by the Bay was held at the Sheraton Barcelo Hotel in Annapolis and featured silent and live auctions, live music and excellent dishes from local restaurants.

Porsche Annapolis displayed a Guards Red 2009 Porsche Boxster with 7-Speed PDK transmission at the main entrance of the event, which drew the attention of many Junior Leaguers, their family and friends at the event.
